This week I saw a dog dressed as a turkey and a "dating" website to help one find a mother/father to create a child. So after many weeks, I was fed up enough to create a list of things that make me sad they're a thing.
The first thing I'm sad is a thing: "jeggings."
I hate when people make cutesy names by combining words (remember "Bennifer" in the early 2000's? That started it). But this is even worse than the name because you're combining jeans with leggings. I remember once when that happened in the early '90's when I also had huge green glasses and wore a men's tie. Anything that was inspired by the early '90's should not be revisited. I'm also sad that I have to point that out.
Leggings in general are not a good thing, unless maybe you're in the gym. But I think mostly the people I've seen wearing these on the El, on the street, or IN THE OFFICE have no business wearing them. Usually those are black, though. When you make them light denim-colored, though, you much more easily see that stuff that grows on people. For the love of all that is good, please stop.
